my goal for this project was to marry higher production values than any of my previous projects to a writing/working style that was as quick and intuitive as possible. to get there, all of the lyrics were culled from dreams, jotted down first thing upon waking and then tied to "first thought, best thought" chord progression/melodies.

i wanted to get as close as i could to experiencing these songs as a stranger to myself. similar to the feeling of bearing witness to ourselves in our dreams.

the other half of this equation will be explored later in the year, with Lasterpiece.
